Why is a big question. The short answer is, local original music is
greatly under-appreciated. There are amazing songwriters and composers
everywhere. They're not famous. Most never will be. But listening to
someone from your town perform their own music is the height of musical
experience. It builds community like nothing else. All you have to do is
say yes to it.
